So there’s this new RS band called PIXEL, and apparently they won some kind of contest or something, so that’s why they got to release an album with RS. RS is really surprising me lately with their rock bands! They’re actually pretty good!

This song, รู้ว่ามีอยู่ก็สายไป (Roo Wah Mee Yoo Gor Sai Pai) isn’t anything special, I don’t think… it’s just another song by a rock band. But it’s not bad! I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it.

But I REALLY REALLY like the MV. The story’s really good and really cute! And the boy is cute, and the girl is MEEN FROM SISKA! And though I haven’t written a post about Siska, I really like them. They’re actually one of the only girl groups/duos/whatever that I like. And Meen is my favorite! She’s so adorable. I think she’s lost weight since I last saw Siska. But she’s just super cute… I WANT SISKA! :’(

This MV is also really sad… *sigh* it fits the song really well.

C-Quint’s new MV

C-Quint has a new MV. I saw it while I was watching Music Battle today. I didn’t really pay too much attention to it… I just noticed a few things: they’re going for a ‘cute and adorable’ look for this MV, the song isn’t too terrible, their singing seems to have improved, and why the heck are they so popular?! I will never understand it… but their singing HAS improved! So yay

K-OTIC! :)

If you’ve read a few of my posts, I think you’d know I’m pretty much a GMM Grammy fangirl. I especially don’t like most of the Kamikaze people, except for one exception. I really like K-OTIC!

K-OTIC is a boy band from Kamikaze that has two Thai members, two Thai-Japanese members, and a Korean member. Koen and Poppy are Thai, Tomo and Kenta are half-Thai and half-Japanese, and Jongbae is Korean. They’re all pretty young… about the same as FTI. So really, I guess K-OTIC was the first jailbait boy band I became a fan of…

Their singing is.. not great, but not awful.. and for RS, that’s pretty good! They do Korean and Japanese raps in their songs… because they can! I think dancing is their strong suit, though. After Golf-Mike, they are the next best dancers in Thai pop right now, in my opinion.

Poppy’s the best singer, for sure. And he looks SO much better now without that hair that looked like a bush! I like Koen, because I think he seems so dorky! It’s really cute. And I like Tomo, because he is just really pretty. But I’m gonna stop, because they are totally young, and I have WAY MORE THAN ENOUGH jailbait to obsess over already XDDDD

Anyway, K-OTIC has their second album in the works… I don’t think it’s out yet, but a few songs have been released, namely their first single, Blacklist. The MV for this song just came out a few days ago! Check it out!

Black Vanilla ♥

So the first time I heard of Black Vanilla, when I was in Thailand this August, I was like… WTF KIND OF STUPID NAME IS BLACK VANILLA?! I’m not gonna listen to them because their name is stupid!

But seriously, I should know better, since a lot of Thai bands have stupid English names. And in general, the bands/boy bands I like have some pretty lame names.

After I saw the MV for their single ตบด้วย MOUTH (Slap with MOUTH), I was like… I really like this band! The MV is really fun and colorful! And the concept is adorable… I really wanna hit people with giant mouths, too! It’s super cute! If you haven’t seen it yet, watch it here.

I was finally able to listen to their new album, R2G (or R-G) today! And I really, really enjoyed it! A lot! Really really! The whole album is REALLY (no, really!) nice. I put up a download link after the jump

Sort of an update…

It’s been kind of a slow week. -_- I feel like they all went on vacation or something! Why.. *sad*

But I’ve been kind of distracted this week with watching Goong (Princess Hours)! I started it on Monday night and watching it has seriously CONSUMED me. I love it! Love the soundtrack too *cough*.

But anyway, an update kind of for the sake of updating. XP

~ A new teaser for Ice’s mv for I See U. Or is it ICU? It’s really so hard to tell. Peak is just.. please go away. Please. Just leave my Ice alone! I think GMM Grammy needs a new fake street, though. I think that’s the same street they used in B.O.Y’s First Love First Hurt MV. -_-

~ Beam has a new MV! I never really listened to D2B or Dan-Beam, but the stories of what happened are really really sad. Anyway, Beam is solo now, and I really liked his other song Fan Krai Mai Roo, so I was interested in this new MV. I think he looks cute with glasses! This is a really nice song! It’s called Yah Peung Bok Wah Ruk. Man I really hate romanizing! Haha. Anyway, watch it here.

~ SHINee Subs has subbed an interview they did in Thailand right after the SMTown Live concert. I’ve never heard of Club Asian (apparently the show they did this interview on… is it a show??), so when I first opened the video I was really confused to hear Thai! I think SHINee subs should get a new Thai translator though, because I think some of the translations of what Knes (the interviewer) said were slightly inaccurate. Not in like, a major way, but still.

Anyway, I think SHINee is a little better at ’sawadee krub’ than Suju. I was really very impressed with Onew’s! And I’m totally not being biased! XD And Jonghyun’s ‘pa khao ma’ was actually really good for someone who doesn’t know a word of Thai! I love the editing in this interview, which makes it seem like they understand Thai. Hahaha. I loved Onew! He is such an earnest smiley leader! Cute. I don’t think he’s the most leadery leader so far, but he’s young! There’s lots of time. Watch it here.

~I’m starting to really like 2 PM! Hahaha.. I feel like the process by which I became a SHINee fangirl is happening again here. Except with less denial and resistance, because they aren’t ALL jailbait! I really like 10 Points Out of 10 Points. That is some really catchy stuff! Not Replay status, but still pretty good.

This is a behind the scenes video filmed on 2PM’s “D-Day” – debut day. I think they are a lot cuter in here than in the MV and performances and whatnot. But I don’t know any of their names besides Nichkhun. Hahaha. They looked pretty nervous before the debut. So cute! And 2AM people were there supporting them! That’s pretty cute, too! When they unite to form One Day, it should be very interesting.

Wonder Boys and Korea-Thailand Friendship Concert

500th episode of Inkigayo, so for a special stage they formed a new boy/girl? band called Wonder Boys with Sungmin and Shindong from Suju, Taemin from SHINee, Jo Kwon from 2 AM, and Seungri from Big Bang. Wonder Boys did Girls’ Generation and So Hot!

Oh man, I loved this performance! And DOOOOOOOOOD SHINDONG HOW MUCH WEIGHT HAVE YOU LOST!? WOWOWOW a congratulations are clearly in order! He has such good will power… now if only I had that kinda will! Love Sungmin’s wig. Love Shindong’s flat-ironed hair! Love Taemin as always. Not as familiar with Jo Kwon and Seungri, but seriously, all the Wonder Boys were… wonderful. XP

My only regret is that Heechul couldn’t take part! I mean, seriously, I think it’d have been a dream come true for him to properly perform So Hot! XP

SJ-H also had another goodbye stage for Pajama Party. And Kangin was there yay! If I remember right it’s their last one Goodbye Pajama Party, I hardly knew ye. Teukie: “ELF saranghae!” WAHHHHHHHH Teuk never ceases to be SO SWEET!

Also, another interesting piece of news! I just learned about the Korea-Thailand Friendship Concert. It’ll be on Sept 25, at Indoor Stadium. Think it’s free! But there may be some hoops to jump through to get tickets. IONO. Can’t read Thai. *fail* I’ll have my friend translate for me later. XP

First, a note about the performers, though. This is clearly an RS function. The Thai singers are ALL RS PEOPLE. I don’t know if GMM Grammy might be involved with the Korean singers though, because at least SJ-H is under Grammy Inter. But all I know is, it’d be so much better with some GMM Grammy people! Or else Korean fans might get the wrong idea… that Thai singers can’t sing and aren’t that cute. And I think they’ll be able to figure out who C-QUINT aspires to be. *cough* But at least Ice and Peck can represent at the Asia Song Festival!

Korean singers who will perform are:  SJ-H (yays!), Big Bang, Baby VOX Rev, Jewelry, Andy from Shinhwa, and Paran.

Thai singers who will perform are: Film Rattapoom, Four-Mod, Girly Berry (UGH, SERIOUSLY?!?!), C-QUINT, K-OTIC, Faye Fang Keaw, Waii (*sigh*)

The only people I feel are remotely worthy of standing on the same stage as the likes of SJ-H and Big Bang (because even if people say Suju are untalented, they are still miles and miles ahead of some of these RS people) are K-OTIC. Seriously, Korean fans have it freakin’ good, if Suju is considered to be untalented. They should really take a look at some of these RS people, and, so as not to be such a GMM Grammy fangirl, they should probably take a look at that video of B.O.Y performing Ter Narak down there! :’(

EDIT: Apparently, the Korean-Thailand Friendship Concert has been postponed due to the current political instability in Thailand. *sigh* worrisome.

Finally back…

It’s been forever!! I went to stay at another aunt’s house for the last 2 weeks I was in Thailand, so I didn’t have internet, or cable, or hot water, for that matter. And that was a shame, because that was pretty much when all the good stuff was happening! -_-

So I just got back last night, and… let’s see. I still have to listen to SHINee’s new album, and FT Island’s.

So what else has happened? In list form because there’s a lot! XD

1. Ice released a new song, called I See U… and it’s really cute! And there’s a Japanese rap that Ice wrote himself, and it’s a fun dancy song that’s very much in Ice’s style. To me the song sounds pretty Japanese, but then I’m not that familiar with Jpop, so iono. The MV should be out sometime this month, and the nang ek is Peak, and when I heard that I was just like FUDGE MY LIFE! Why does it have to be the only only only girl I don’t like?! UGH I CAN’T STAND HER FACE! And her trying to be cute! Ugh. But it’s Ice, sooo whatevs. Listen to I See U here!

2. ToR+ released a new song, called มั้ง? (Munk?), and IT’S SUPER SUPER SUPER CUTE!!!! And ToR+ rocks! Watch the MV! My only problem with this MV is that I WISH HE WOULD JUST GET A DAMN PIANO BENCH ALREADY!! He looks so awkward playing the piano like that! XP Watch it here.

3. B.O.Y has a new MV! It’s for their latest single, Ter Narak, which I think is a really cute song except for the really cheesy English. Tengneung is cuuuuuuuuuuute! This MV is footage of them and their fans. Watch it here.

4. C-Quint has a new MV. Iono why I bother with this, because they really can’t sing, and I really hate that. -_- Watch it here.

5. SHINee has a new MV! It’s for Love Like Oxygen. How I could save this for after C-Quint, I don’t even know. Watch it! Love it! Love SHINee! I really wish Minho wouldn’t look at the camera like that, though. If he keeps doing that, I’m gonna get carted off to jail for sure. *flail*

6. This isn’t a new song or MV or anything.. but 2 of my most favorite groups together yay! It needs to be seen! All I could think while watching this was AWWWWWWWWWWWWW *brain explodes from all the cuteness* SHINee + SJ-H performing Miracle (CAN YOU SAY AWWWWWWW?) on Mnet M!Countdown on the 4th (today!) 7. I saved the best for last, really! Peck Aof Ice’s We R One concert VCD FINALLY FUDGING CAME OUT!!! Not too long before I left. So of course I ran out and bought it and watched it immediately. WAH I LOVED IT SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! I want to post Peck’s Gun Lae Gun! If no one uploads it, I’ll do it my freakin’ self. I might also want to upload the part where Ice cries. AWWWWWWWW poor Ice, being sick and fresh out of the hospital and everything. But he gives his all every time. SU SU! But for now, here’s Ice’s Kon Jai Ngai with Chompoo Araya.

1011! :)

I figured since I just wrote a post about some people I’m not terribly crazy about (though I really do like that song), why not write a post about some people I actually really really like?

New 1011 MV! Song is called ไม่ไว้ใจ (Mai Wai Jai). I like most of the songs on their mini album thingy. The only song I’m not too crazy about is Control, but it’s okay. I didn’t think I would really like 1011 that much, but I really, really do. And they’re really pretty talented people. Which is surprising, since they’re from RS. It makes me kind of sad to think that C-Quint (who are clearly not as talented *hides*) are more popular.

Back to the MV. Bon is cute and sweet as usual, and also sings beautifully as usual. Bank does the main acting again, just like in Waylah Tee Hai Pai. But seriously, someone should just tell him that it’s only a play. And at the end, I have no idea why Bon couldn’t just press the stupid button. So first they have a stalkerish MV, and now they have a crazy jealous/possessive MV. It’s getting kinda creepy XP.

I’m not sure if I ever posted a link to Waylah Tee Hai Pai on the other post, so I will here. It’s really a very sweet MV. And really sad! So sad. I love 1011 XP.

C-Quint again + some AF5

So I just saw the MV last night for C-Quint’s second song. The slower song, which I said was a lot better than the first song, which I really, really hate. This song is called หน้าไม่อาย, Nar Mai Ai. Err.. sorry, I’m sure my romanization is fail. And I really, really like the MV version, because Pitt plays the piano. And I’m such a sucker for people who play the piano. So I offically really like him XP. I really like this song. They still don’t sing that well, but it’s certainly better than the first song.

I finally realized what’s off about their dance moves. They aren’t really all that difficult. The MV is cut and edited to make them look a bit more complicated, but they aren’t. They’re like Bie status. And some dance moves in this MV are vaguely reminiscent of Bie, too (not that I’m accusing them of stealing or anything!). And not that I have anything against Bie… it’s just… RS has big dreams for C-Quint, like DBSK dreams (the harmonizing + the dancing = so DBSK), and C-Quint is just not there. They need a lot more training, for sure.

On another note, AF5 this week is pretty interesting. Last Saturday was the vote back that everyone’s been expecting, and Micky had her doll thing that gave her immunity. Before the bottom 3 was announced, she had the choice of using the doll and getting immunity (even if she didn’t get the lowest vote), or not using the doll and having all of the previously eliminated people (of the 12 finalists) come back. But if she chose the second option, if she got the lowest vote she would go home. It was sad for Micky (and this is saying a lot for me, because I dislike Micky and her whole “mom votes a gajillion baht a week” thing) because she had said all week she was going to use the doll (so her fan club/mom wouldn’t vote) so that no one would have to be eliminated this week. So, since Micky had been telling everyone she was going to use the doll, she used it, and she was sad. And she did have the lowest vote, and she was happy about that. But what about the eliminated people who were supposed to come back?? They decided to bring them back anyway. So all’s well that ends well. Kind of. I think Micky was dumb to think that she would go home anyway if she didn’t use the doll. Of course True would let her stay if she was so nice and generous to let all those people come back! How stupid is she? But yeah… anyway…

Of the vote back people, only one can stay after this week. And 1 person from the regular group will be eliminated, too. This makes me think of week 1 and 2. I hated week 1 and 2, of course, since in week 2 Beer and Benz went home. I want Wan to stay. Currently Nat is leading, but Wan is getting closer everyday. Nim is in third place. I want Wan to stay, because I firmly believe he is the most talented person who was in the house this year. And so he’s most deserving of another chance. Nat had 44% vote on like Monday or something -_-. I was just like… WOW. He’s down a lot now, but still leading by quite a bit. I hope Ron doesn’t go home this week! It’d be such a shame if Nat or Wan got to to stay (and it’ll probably be them) but Ron had to leave. Again with only 1 Sao in the house. Reunited and then broken up AGAIN! Poor Beer, though.

C-Quint…

So RS debuted a new boy band last week. RS is one of two major record labels in Thailand; the other one is GMM GRAMMY. RS is the smaller of the two. I have to say, I’m kind of a GMM GRAMMY fangirl. My future husband Ice is on there, so that’s where my heart lies. And I think they just generally have better performers, promotion, and concepts. I always feel kind of bad for RS, because GMM GRAMMY controls something like 70% of the market. And RS lost major money last year. So I really want to like RS people! But I just don’t. They feel overproduced, oversexed, and just generally untalented. Right now, the only people I like from RS are Siska. I really can’t wait for them to come out with an album!

But anyway, that up there is RS’s new boy band, C-Quint. I really really wanted to like them. A Thai boy band that can dance would be wonderful. They’re pretty rare. I know K-OTIC can dance. I don’t know too much about Nice 2 Meet U… I just like one of their songs. I have to say that I love brand-spankin’-new B.O.Y, but they aren’t really dancers. Thai singers generally don’t dance too great. Golf-Mike would probably be the best… but I’m not a huge fan of theirs.

Like I said, I really wanted to like them. But I have a lot of problems with C-Quint. I listened to their single and then watched their MV (and had to deal with the horror that is YOUDUMV), and the conclusion I came to is that they suck.

1. This is kind of petty, but wtf kind of a name is C-Quint? Is it supposed to be like SQUINT?

2. And this is really shallow, but they’re not really cute. I think Bank and Best are pretty cute, but other than that… no. Boy band members should definitely be easy on the eyes!

3. They want to be DBSK. So badly. And it’s just kind of sad, because they really really aren’t at that level. In any way – singing, dancing, personality. So they really should just stop with that.

4. The girl in the MV is terrible. She’s kinda cute… at some angles. But mostly she just looks really stupid. Also the MV in general is really stupid.

5. The song just sucks. Hard. It’s awful! Whoever wrote this song should just be shot. Lyrics aren’t that important for a boy band like this, so just give it a good beat! But they couldn’t even manage that. The song sounds like junk… like noise that a five-year-old mashed together. Just really poorly edited and produced. There is soooo much mixing/editing going on. Can I just hear their voices without a bunch of crap over it? It was far too overproduced. But this segues perfectly into my next point.

6. They can’t fudging sing. Like at all. I think maybe two of them can sing passably, and the rest are just terrible. The editing in a studio version of a song should be good enough that I can’t really tell you can’t sing. I should only realize you can’t sing when you try to do it live. But even though there is so much noise crap going on in this song, I can still hear how bad they are. The bad ones are so bad that just watching the MV makes me cringe, and makes my ears want to jump off and run away in horror.

7. They’re supposed to be able to dance really well. But they’re… okay. Well, they’re pretty good by Thai standards. But I thought they were supposed to be better than that… they want to be DBSK, so they should dance a lot better than they currently do. I think SHINee can dance better than them. Hell, I think Bie (on a good day) can dance better than them.

This was a really mean review… I didn’t realize I disliked them this much! But I think they’re really, really bad. Like… even for RS. They’ve got some pretty talentless people in RS, like, say, Girly Berry, but C-Quint might actually be worse than Girly Berry. Actually, no, I don’t think you can get worse than Girly Berry. At least a couple of the people in C-Quint are cute. I want them to improve! I really want to like them!
